From milk floats to nationwide systems

The Lenthall family has been washing commercial vehicles since 1972, starting by hand with everything from milk floats to Coca‑Cola trucks. Over the next thirty years we built a loyal customer base — some of whom are still with us today.

    Where it all began

    The Lenthall family begins washing commercial vehicles by hand — milk floats, Coca‑Cola trucks and everything in between.

  2. 1980s

    Building the customer base

    Three decades of hand-washing fleets across the South — building the relationships that still anchor the business today.

  3. 2002

    The first automatic wash

    Wash Solutions (Southern) Ltd is formed and the first fully automatic truck wash is installed — the start of a new chapter.

  4. 2010

    Twenty-five systems strong

    25 automatic truck wash systems are running across our growing client base.

  5. 2012 & 2015

    First in dairy, first on the forecourt

    In 2012 we launch our first fully automated tanker wash for the dairy market. In 2015 we follow it with our first fob-operated jet wash forecourt system, complete with credit-card facilities.

  6. 2025

    A nationwide network

    65 fully automated truck wash systems installed across the UK — and still family-run.
